This course is designed to meet the needs of both first-time learners of Tibetan, as well as students with one year or less of modern colloquial Tibetan. It is intended to lay the foundation for reading classical Tibetan writings, including religious, historical, and literary texts. By focusing on basic grammatical constructions and frequently used vocabulary, this class offers an introduction to the classical Tibetan language.
What is the nature of our planet and how did it form? This class explores Earths internal structure, its dynamical character expressed in plate tectonics and earthquakes, and its climate system. It also explores what Earths future may hold.

Tap I is a beginning level tap class for students with some previous dance or movement experience. We will cover basic tap technique, proper use of the body to enhance sound quality and style, a variety of music styles and structures, and improvisation.

The course will leverage the academic expertise of psychologists, lawyers and data scientists, the perspectives and experiences of community members and students affiliated with the Center for Justice, and policymakers from government agencies and community organizations. The focus will be on collaborating with community and government organizations to propose data-informed solutions that center on those most impacted by failures of the justice system. Students will learn how to promote a more just society through combining data, disciplinary knowledge, and fine-grained, and on-the-ground experience. They will learn how to approach policy relevant data with an explicit justice mindset such that they consider the implications of specific policies for achieving a more just, racially equitable outcome.
